②項目聘期APPOINTMENTTERMS
西湖青年學者作為全職獨立實驗室負責人或實驗室共同負責人來校開展為期三年的研究工作,。三年聘期結束后,，如因科研工作需要，可申請延長三年聘期,。入職日期可根據(jù)個人情況與本項目辦公室和各學院協(xié)商確定,。西湖青年學者可獲得充足的科研啟動經(jīng)費,，在校期間可專注于科學研究，無需花費大量的時間精力用于申請科研經(jīng)費或課堂教學,。但西湖青年學者也可尋求外部經(jīng)費支持,。
WestlakeFellowsworkasfull-timeprincipalinvestigatorsandhavefullaccesstoWestlake’sstate-of-the-artfacilitiesforaperiodofthreeyears,（略）,freefromtheneedtoraisetheirowngrantsupportorthedistractionsofclassroomteaching.WestlakeFellowscanalsoseekadditionalexternalfunding.
③申報條件ELIGIBILITY
申請人應即將獲得博士學位或者已獲得博士學位不超過兩年，且未在其他學術機構以助理教授,、副教授或正教授職位（或相當級別職位）工作,。西湖青年學者須在博士階段已取得重要的科學發(fā)現(xiàn)，且勇于探索科學技術前沿,。
Applicantsareabouttobeawardedadoctoraldegreeorwithintwoyearsofobtainingadoctoraldegreeandhaven’tbeenemployedasanassistantprofessor,associateprofessororfullprofessor(orequivalent).WestlakeFellowsmusthavedemonstratedexceptionalpromiseandmaturityintheirgraduatecareersandbeeagertoengagethefrontiersofscienceandengineering.

西湖卓越學者計劃下設訪問學者項目，旨在引進在國內(nèi)外頂尖學術機構擔任助理教授,、副教授和正教授職位（或相當級別職位）的專家學者來校開展短期學術研究與交流（最短1個月,，最長1年），為西湖大學帶來更為活躍的學科交叉氛圍,。西湖訪問學者須由西湖大學教研系列教師提名，直接申報和自我提名將不會被受理,。
